Former Assistant County Attorney

Reginald F. Coleman, JD brings a rare combination of elite athletic experience, real-world legal practice, and courtroom advocacy to his work as a trusted attorney.

A former offensive tackle at The University of Tennessee, Reginald competed at the highest levels of college football, earning distinction as a 2x SEC Champion and a member of the 1998 BCS National Championship team. His experience as a Division I athlete shaped his understanding of discipline, preparation, teamwork, and performance under pressure—principles that continue to guide his legal practice today.

Following his collegiate success, he was selected in the 6th round of the 2002 NFL Draft (192nd overall) by the Washington Redskins. He went on to play in the National Football League with the Washington Redskins, Cincinnati Bengals, Green Bay Packers, San Diego Chargers, and New York Jets, gaining firsthand insight into the business of professional sports and the legal and contractual complexities athletes face throughout their careers.

After his playing career, Reginald transitioned into public service as an Assistant County Attorney in Louisville, Kentucky, where he gained valuable courtroom experience and developed a strong foundation in criminal and public interest law.

Today, he draws on this unique background—spanning elite athletics, professional sports, and government service—to represent clients in family law, criminal defense, and sports law/NIL matters. His approach is grounded in discipline, preparation, and a deep understanding of how legal decisions impact real lives and futures.

Whether advocating for families during difficult transitions, defending individuals facing criminal charges, or guiding athletes and families through NIL opportunities, Reginald F. Coleman provides strategic, informed, and client-focused representation.
